About the Awards
IN AID OF CANCER RESEARCH
Note: 100% entry fees & the profit from the award dinner & auction will be donated to Cancer Research. Our ‘Technology Leader’ Awards are annual awards, and this year’s chosen charities are The Prostate Foundation & USC Esophageal Research.
NetEvents 2010 ‘Technology Leader’ Awards

These prestigious awards recognise the very best in the Technology industry and reward the leading individuals and organisations for innovation and performance in the networking and telecommunications sector.
Our independent panel of judges includes professionals from the leading International technology press and industry analysts.
Whether you are a network vendor or a service provider these awards offer you the chance to gain industry-wide recognition for your endeavours and achievements.
NetEvents 2010 ‘Technology Leader’ Award Categories include:
Security Product of the Year Award 2010
Good security means keeping ahead of a particularly vicious game. It also means recognition that those needing, and using, your protection are themselves fallible humans. Our security product of the year is likely to be a solution that not only raises the stakes against fraudsters but also integrates smoothly into the users’ way of working, making security a comfortable habit rather than a distraction.

Most Innovative Technology Company of the Year Award 2010
Go on - surprise us! If we could specify in advance what it takes to make you the Most Innovative Technology Company of the Year, then you haven’t been innovative enough. Mind you, we’re talking technology, not Fine Art, so it had better be useful as well as clever in the eyes of our judges.

Most Innovative Test & Measurement Application of the Year Award 2010
Anything in this category is likely to be testing complex systems, but is unlikely to win an award unless it makes the testing significantly simpler. Precision, in measurement and recording, must be paramount, but a user interface that adapts to human needs and translates data into knowledge and understanding is another vital component.

Most Innovative On-line Video Solution of the Year Award 2010
This award will go to the company offering a solution that changes the rules of the game and enables the industry to achieve more online views with existing or fewer resources. For example, if your company provides a solution that removes the need for power hungry servers, or enables higher quality video with fewer downloads of software clients, or frees the user to view more content with the same mobile device - then you could be the winner of the Most Innovative Online Video Solution of the Year Award 2010.

Enterprise Networking product of the Year Award 2010
Enterprise networks are reaching farther and faster than ever before, opening up new ways to do business and new opportunities. So it’s not enough just to offer souped up versions of the same old solutions. We are looking for products that push the boundaries, shaping what is now possible to what is truly needed - in a format that empowers the enterprise and delivers significant ROI.

Telecoms Infrastructure Product of the Year Award 2010
The telecoms industry is facing enormous challenges -from exploding customer demands, through price competition and disruptive technologies, to extreme pressure on long term investment strategy. It’s a mature sector, so as well as ”best in class” infrastructure equipment we are also looking for highly innovative solutions from whole new directions - maybe WAN Optimization, LTE or something beyond - to clarify the road map ahead.

Business Application of the Year Award 2010
The economic downturn means many businesses are running on fewer, more stressed staff. So our business application of the year is most likely to be an application that empowers without adding to life’s burdens - something that clears and tidies the desktop rather than piling it high. It may be something that makes us think "that’s so simple, why hadn’t we thought of it before?"

Service Provider of the Year - Most Innovative Business Services
It's a time of upheaval for telecoms - from rising customer expectations and new user interfaces, to major infrastructure investment decisions. On the other hand these and other developments - such as business' growing dependency on mobile data, fixed/mobile convergence, inter-provider partnerships, and the evolution of cloud based apps - do offer unprecedented opportunities. So we are looking for innovative responses to these challenges: exciting new services, offering real competitive advantages in an evolving, global business landscape.
