We are delighted to announce the 2014 Cloud Innovation Awards!

Judged by an independent panel of highly respected judges including IT professionals, industry gurus, the tech investment community including Silicon Valley VC’s, plus leading technology press and industry analysts from around the globe.
These prestigious awards recognize the very best in the Technology industry and reward the leading individuals and organisations for innovation and performance in the cloud sector.
Whether you are a network vendor or a service provider these awards offer you the chance to gain industry-wide recognition for your endeavors and achievements plus supports worthy charities. This year all proceeds from the Awards will go to the America Cancer Society and the Prostate Project Foundation.
Last year, the Ethernet Innovation Awards 2013 was a great success during the celebrations of 40 years of Ethernet and raised in excess of $35,000 for STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math).

The Innovation Awards will be presented at the Cloud Innovation Summit’s Evening Celebration on Thursday 27th March 2014 in Los Gatos, California, USA. This is co-located with NetEvents Cloud Innovation Summit which will be attended by key Technology Press & Analysts representing 25+ countries around the globe. All donations from the dinner will go to our chosen charities.
There is an optional entry fee donation for each award submission of $475, 100% of the award entry fee will be donated to the American Cancer Society and Prostate Project Foundation. We are holding a charity auction at the Awards ceremony on March 27th, all money raised from this will also be donated to these charities.

Cloud/Datacenter Solution
Virtualization has transformed the IT landscape with the benefits of cost savings, dynamic provisioning and centralized management, and a growing number of enterprises and government organizations are migrating at least part of their business to the “Cloud”. New data center start-ups, along with some longer term players, offer to help IT departments handle the challenges posed by virtualized infrastructures and cloud computing. Our judges are looking for the most innovative Cloud/Datacenter solution, providing major business benefits, to have been introduced to the market.
Cloud Security Solution
What is the single greatest concern that users have about migration to the Cloud? It is security, and the sense that potentially critical data not only lies in other hands but must also pass to and fro without being compromised. It’s perceived as a dangerous game, with experts predicting new types of attack designed to cripple a nation’s IT infrastructure. Secure the Cloud, and the brakes will be off – so the judges will be looking for the most innovative, practical and effective contribution to Cloud security.
Cloud Mobility Solution
The adoption of smartphones and tablets as productivity devices means a fourfold growth in multi-vendor endpoints, greater network permeability and new security risks to be handled by IT departments. Extending access to the private or public Cloud is vital, but risks opening a further can of worms. Our judges are looking for Cloud mobility solutions that offer useful and seamless service, but without compounding IT headaches.
SDN Solution for the Enterprise
Within just two short years, SDN has become recognized as the networking technology of the future, and Cloud service providers have been evaluating and now starting to deploy SDN and OpenFlow protocol in some of the world’s largest data centers. But medium to smaller enterprises have been slower to make the move, so our judges are particularly keen to find SDN solutions that offer easy migration, that deliver early ROI, and generally encourage business to take the first steps along the path to tomorrow’s networking.
Hottest Cloud Company
Go on – surprise us! If we could tell you in advance what it takes to make you “The Hottest Cloud Company”, then you haven’t been innovative enough. Mind you, we’re talking technology not fine art, so your business had better be useful as well as clever in the eyes of our judges.
‘Industry Idol’ – Cloud Innovation
Has Cloud innovation been happening long enough for us to get a feel for its heroes? We think so. Who would you choose – someone with broad vision for the future of the Cloud, someone with practical ideas that have already shaped the Cloud, or someone with the right balance between forward vision and down to earth practicality?
