The Award categories include:

IoT Innovation Awards:

  • Hot Start-Up – IoT
  • IoT Innovation Leader

Cloud Innovation Awards:

  • Hot Start-Up – Cloud
  • Cloud Leader Award
  • Cloud/Datacenter Solution
  • Cloud Security Solution
  • SDN Solution for the Enterprise
  • Cloud Services for the Enterprise

IoT Innovation Awards:

These awards recognise organizations leading in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT). Entrants may be in any market segment related to the IoT, and need not be pure-play IoT companies. For example, they may sell end devices, including industrial or consumer sensors. They may offer software or services for managing or securing the IoT. They may offer cloud services for gathering or analyzing IoT data. They may be operating in vertical niches, such as healthcare, retail, manufacturing, smart cities. They may provide connectivity for the IoT, such as over WiFi, cellular data networks, or the network core. They may serve carriers or the enterprise. These awards will be presented at a gala dinner held during the NetEvents Global Press & Analyst Summit in San Jose, California, USA on the 28th of September, 2017.

There are two IoT Innovation Award categories:

  • Hot Start-Up – IoT: For Pre IPO companies. The first round will be judged by international Press and Analysts. Finalists, in this award category, are invited to give a short elevator-pitch presentation in a ‘Shark Tank’ style final to the judging panel’s VCs, business angels, entrepreneurs and IT industry leaders in front of an audience of international press and analysts at the NetEvents Global Press & Analyst Summit in San Jose, California, USA on the 28th of September, 2017.
  • IoT Innovation Leader: For established companies offering innovative and exciting products/services in the IoT, recognised as an industry leader, paving the way for the world – judged by the panel of leading NetEvents Press and Analysts, representing over 35 countries around the world.

Cloud Innovation Awards:

These awards recognise organizations that are leading in the field of cloud computing. Entrants may be in any market segment related to the cloud, and need not be pure-play cloud companies. For example, they may be cloud host offering VMs or containers, or maybe a multitenant platform. They may offer Platform-as-a-Service, Software-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Security-as-a-Service, or Data-Center-as-a-Service. They may operate in specialized or vertical markets, such as cloud backups or education/distance learning. They may also be networking infrastructure companies, offering hardware, software or connectivity services in or for the cloud.

There are six Cloud Innovation Award categories:

  • Hot Start-Up – Cloud: For Pre IPO companies. Finalists in this award category are invited to give a short elevator-pitch presentation in a ‘Shark Tank’ style final to the judging panel’s VCs, business angels, entrepreneurs and IT industry leaders in front of an audience of international press and analysts at the NetEvents Global Press & Analyst Summit in San Jose, California, USA on the 28th of September, 2017.
  • Cloud Leader Award: For established companies offering innovative and exciting products/services in the cloud, recognised as an industry leader, paving the way for the world – judged by the panel of leading NetEvents Press and Analysts, representing over 35 countries around the world.
  • Cloud/Datacenter Solution: Virtualization has transformed the IT landscape with the benefits of cost savings, dynamic provisioning and centralized management, and a growing number of enterprises and government organizations are migrating at least part of their business to the “Cloud”. New data center start-ups, along with some longer term players, offer to help IT departments handle the challenges posed by virtualized infrastructures and cloud computing. Our judges are looking for the most innovative Cloud/Datacenter solution, providing major business benefits, to have been introduced to the market.
  • Cloud Security Solution: What is the single greatest concern that users have about migration to the Cloud? It is security, and the sense that potentially critical data not only lies in other hands but must also pass to and fro without being compromised. It’s perceived as a dangerous game, with experts predicting new types of attack designed to cripple a nation’s IT infrastructure. Secure the Cloud, and the brakes will be off – so the judges will be looking for the most innovative, practical and effective contribution to Cloud security.
  • SDN Solution for the Enterprise: Within just two short years, SDN has become recognized as the networking technology of the future, and Cloud service providers have been evaluating and now starting to deploy SDN and OpenFlow protocol in some of the world’s largest data centers. But medium to smaller enterprises have been slower to make the move, so our judges are particularly keen to find SDN solutions that offer easy migration, that deliver early ROI, and generally encourage business to take the first steps along the path to tomorrow’s networking.
  • Cloud Services for the Enterprise: What sets your enterprise Cloud services apart? SLAs, scalability, adaptability, geographical coverage for low latency, a particularly well-considered business package or whatever? Tell us about it and the judges will tell you what they think. Win the award and the world will know about it.
