What does the future look like for cloud-delivered cybersecurity solutions?

Traditional security solutions were for the most part designed and engineered for a pre-cloud age. Trying to make them work for a cloud-based environment usually involves needless complexity and huge administrative effort, and results all too often in incomplete protection. Security for cloud-based workloads should be designed with cloud in mind. Only that way can it match the needs of our hyper-connected world, one where users and data are no longer defined and restricted by location. In any highly distributed cloud-centric ecosystem, cybersecurity is more vital than ever, and must be available on the same basis as compute resources – in other words wherever users and data are found.

If cybersecurity is to be everywhere, then it must be delivered as a cloud-based service. This allows cybersecurity protection to take advantage of the elasticity of the cloud as well as deliver the scalability needed to support today’s rapidly evolving business landscape. Cloud-delivered security is designed to protect critical infrastructure, applications, and data in the cloud, as opposed to being deployed at a central office location. This model better reflects the high elasticity of cloud environments, as it can scale dynamically based on actual needs.

To explore the implications and challenges of cloud-delivered cybersecurity and consider its likely future development, we are bringing you this unmissable online event. Chaired by a leading cybersecurity analyst, it will feature top level discussion from a panel of major names, all with a stake in enterprise security.
