IoT & Cloud Innovation Awards:

These awards recognise organizations leading in the fast-moving, rapidly evolving fields of Cloud/Datacentre Computing; the Internet of Things (IoT); and Cybersecurity. Entrants may be in any market segment related to these areas, and need not be pure-play companies working in those areas.

For example:
• Cloud/Datacentre Computing entrants may be a service provider offering IaaS/PaaS environments for private clouds; high-speed interconnects for physical datacentres; SD-WAN or MPLS links for wide-area networks; SaaS-based platforms for network management; backup and disaster recovery; or physical servers and infrastructure. In addition, entrants may offer generalized solutions, or special products/services for local markets, or for vertical industries like financial services, government, manufacturing, or education.

• Internet of Things entrants may create or offer end devices, including full mobile computers, industrial sensors, healthcare products, drones or Smart Cities equipment. IoT entrants could also supply software solutions for securing and managing IoT devices and applications, as well as cloud-based services to support IoT, such as to gather or analyze remote data. They may provide connectivity for the IoT, such as over WiFi, cellular data networks, or the network core. They may serve carriers or the enterprise.

• Cybersecurity entrants may be involved in any aspect of the kill chain, from detecting breaches or vulnerabilities, to fixing and patching systems, tracking intrusion, targeting hackers, and providing post-breach analytics and forensics. They may offer software solutions that are installed on endpoints, enterprise servers, virtual machines, cloud servers/containers, and carrier networks. Entrants may offer hardware such as firewalls, or virtual solutions such as next-generation firewalls. They may also provide threat intelligence services, security testing tools and services, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
